I am an Entrepreneur and Management Major at Bryant University with a minor in communication. I love digital marketing and have been learning about Facebook ads, google ads, website creation, and SEO since high school. My father owned his own construction company and my brother and I worked with him from a very young age so the idea of being an entrepreneur is in my blood. Sadly he passed away while I was in high school, however I always new I wanted to follow in his footsteps. I chose Bryant University because of the opportunities and how great of a school it was for entrepreneurship, marketing and business.
My time at Bryant has helped further enhance that love of entrepreneurship and with the opportunities at Bryant I have learned many useful skills when it comes to leadership, planning, & marketing.
In late 2022 I started working on my own software. Throughout the past few months I have optimized and expanded on my software, so that it is a one stop shop for everything a business could need. I used my experience with past classes to build out automated systems and a way for companies to bring in more clients, while doing less work using Arvani Pro. I want to help small business owners, who might be struggling to stay afloat because of the changes in technology and marketing.
This blog will consist of me going through three different social media platforms and analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of each platform and considering how that will affect my usage of those platforms for my own brand. The piece of material I will be referencing the most is “Which Social Media Marketing Platform is Right for My Business?” by James Scherer.
When it comes to LinkedIn, there are many different advantages of the platform.

LinkedIn is for professionals on the job hunt or looking for networking opportunities. While there are certain industries that have a higher presence on the platform, software, and technology are staying in the lead. That is the industry I am interested in and when looking at the possibility of all the potential leads that could see my content, it makes me very interested in using LinkedIn more heavily than the other platforms.
When looking at Pinterest, the advantages are small but powerful and the disadvantages depend on your niche.

Pinterest is certainly a popular platform. I myself have even used Pinterest for inspiration for getting my tattoo. It is a very image and creative-driven platform that can help small businesses thrive. When looking at it for my branding, however, I do not see a use for it. There is no real way for me to look for specific companies or business owners and I am not selling a feminine product so paid advertising on the platform is not worth it. This is a platform that I need to do more research on in order to determine if I want to start building a presence for my brand.
Tik-Tok, while being a relatively new platform in comparison to the others, has a massive amount of users globally, with many disadvantages and advantages to it.

I personally believe that TikTok is one of the biggest social media platforms out there. It has a lot of potential to reach people all over the world. For my brand, I would like to help educate small business owners and while targeting on the platform is hard, if I can create content that attracts my ideal audience, TikTok would have the potential to grow larger and generate more traffic to my website than any other platform. I need to review with my team our social media content plan in order to get the most out of them.
